Is anyone having to increase pricing on memberships to meet the new floor price? Or are you simply going to sign those people up as home club members? What does everyone think about this?

Honestly I'm okay with it because I had several issues with other snaps around me charging significantly lower prices and with reciprocity switch to my club. They purposely signed up at other locations and used my gym. So I miss out on the enrollment and constantly have to keep tabs on reciprocity so I can increase the membership price. However for up fromt yearly pricing I honor lower than floor pricing to members who will truly use just home club. I have less than 5% of members really using reciprocity nation wide. My problem is the issues with rolling it out. We were told by our BPS that we had to start now and then received an email that stated a later date. Also when we tried to sign up a few "yearly" renewals at honored price the fiitware system wouldn't let us do it under home club only... of course no response from support yet...it's a tough call because it helps clubs saturated with Snaps around them but for clubs that don't have another snap for at least 20 miles away it may be more of an issue With members.

That's my issue- I have maybe a handful of members that use reciprocity- like less than 10. My closest Snap is about 40 miles away. I think that I will go your route of offering the home club price and the reciprocity price for those who want it. My market is very competitive, so price is very important here. Thanks for the feedback.

What about 2 different memberships
Standard - Gets you into just this Snap
Traveler - Gets you into every snap around the world for just $X more per month

Just a heads up as well. We now have started the Floor pricing in January. We had two members join under Home Club only to keep price at 29.95 for 12 month agreement. You can't do reciprocal billing for home club only members. The only options are: Single Home Club Prepaid, Joint Home Club Prepaid, and Family Home Club prepaid. So now those two members were not autodialed on 2/1/2018. So unless someone can tell me I'm doing something Wong. or Fitware isn't caught up on this new program you will have to manually go in and charge each home club only member every month. You will also then get the signature page again for the member to sign. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong as I've tried everything.

Honestly, I hate reciprocity for reasons like stated above. Once that ends I will not lose a single member and will not lose any sleep. Things that piss me off are usage abuse like when other snap members are on vacation and bring a relative with them to my club during non-staffed hours or when I catch them they tell me their home club lets them bring a friend..wtf? Or..."They're on my plan and didn't bring their card".. but I cannot verify such a statement on fitware. So what do I do? Blow steam out of my ears.
Now that I have vented on reciprocity, I still keep my same pricing, but just added a statement on my pricing sheet, "For Global Access to all Snap Clubs the price is..." Just discuss the usage at the sales table. Change your pricing on the website for global access only otherwise, they'll get pissed one day when they can't workout at another club and want their money back.
Oh...I believe fitpass prospects that roll into something less than $30/mo can still use other clubs. I think this is true from what I was told. Until the website gains a few smarts and automatically updates the monthly, I believe this will happen.
Home club can do autopay. Don't select prepaid.

I completely understand what you are saying but I did home club and their is no other option to choose but prepaid. I will try and do a youtube video and post it here to demonstrate what I am saying. I found this by going to my reports and checking Non-Billed members. On this report it shows the two members who signed up for home club only to keep their price the same as it was prior verses the increase for reciprocity. They were billed $0 due to the membership under (home club only) (single) (month to month) and then only option (single prepaid). does this make sense?

It only took me a few fucking hours when a simple response from IT or email or the FAQs would have just made it simple. I had to go an enable every type of home club only membership plans in fitware member agreements to be able to sign members up for them on the home page.....My mistake, but seriously 2 hours? ?? for a simple freaking fix! Great software Fitturd. What was that saying? You can polish turd but it's stilllllll a fitturd..... I mean a turd.

Our problem is that we have 3 clubs in a local area, and they cannot "home club" our three. We are forced to raise pricing. Not happy.

Wow Midwest that would be an issue is snap trying to come up with a solution? Example home club = #1860 #1861 #1862, basically lumping your clubs into one home club? I'm sure it's possible to come up with a scenario for club owners w multiple clubs. (My example was fake numbers not real club numbers).. want to make sure I add that disclaimer.

Now I wish they would raise that "floor price" for the Fitpass or just eliminate it. How can this franchise call it sell a boutique fitness when they sell a month for $8.95?

Something I believe is overlooked is the definition of a boutique club. I've always looked at boutique clubs or companies as ones who focused on a particular niche and could be considered experts in those areas. In fitness it's the spin studios, the crossfit clubs, the MMA clubs, etc. This begs the question what is snap excelling at? From corporate it seems to be changing interiors and adding MyZone. I don't see that as making snap a niche player or an expert. Clubs, like OT, which use heart rate technology don't make it optional. The member has to wear it, every class is designed around it. Less than 1% of the people who walk through my door know who OT is and don't seem to care. They also would never pay $99/month for 2 classes per week. That 1% who are aware are made up of former OT members and are happy to simply use the heart rate monitors on the machines or their fitbits, apple watches, etc. I can explain how inaccurate those devices are, but they don't care. Apple, and others, are telling them they are accurate. I have reports showing they're not. Doesn't matter. They think it's a sales pitch. So, I bring it back around... Why does snap believe they're a boutique club? Oh, and to the other point. None of those boutique clubs even offer a 7 day trial. You get 1 class for free or you can get special pricing, one time, on a package of 3 classes. 3 classes for $55. I'm still looking for that boutique club which sells you a month for $8.95. Maybe when snap sends out the access card they'll also send the fitpass prospect a myzone.
