Looks like I'm going to get my wish probably sooner rather than later to be able to switch the sign over my door. Corporate continues to pile on new fees and increase existing ones even though the vast majority of Snap clubs are around break even. Just take a look at how many are for sale around the country on Craigslist alone. Most are for sale around $25,00 plus the $29,000 transfer fee!!! Yes 29,000. What color is the sky in corporate world that they think it is a good idea to continue to price owners out of business? Well at least we are getting paperless contracts so we will save over $80/year in paper and ink!!!!

So is any of this technology going to get credit cards to automatically update or is that still too difficult for them to figure out?

Well...I guess within the next couple months we will be getting our cc updater in place for Visa and MasterCard according to the latest webinar. Charges are out of their hands they say, but $.10 per account and a little more per account if they have to update it. The process looks at ALL accounts and ALL accounts are charged at least $.010. So for a club that has 300 memberships it would be $30/month minimum.

Bullshit!! The credit card processing arms of the banks provide this at no charge and the technology has been out there for a couple years now and implemented by AT & T, Verizon, Dish network, DirecTV and anyone else who sets up automatic monthly billing. Someone else stated something about all the times they've lied about this and this is all just another bunch of lies. Too bad Wikileaks doesn't release the emails from the thieves within snap's hq. What happened to the "Former FAM" that was on here? I was hoping to hear more interesting tidbits as to how snap hq fucks over their franchisees.

Cheryl..love your comments. I assume it was you on the webinar when they called out our names with questions. Me as well. A questioned was asked and I can't remember...are we getting our $75 fee refunded for the cc terminal which we no longer need anymore now that we can just use the Ipad?

Not confirming or denying anything, Snap has a long history of vindictive actions against franchisees who speak out. It's why they're so wrapped around the wheel right now trying to figure out who's who on this forum.

The facts...
Snap corp can blame themselves for Franchisee's not believing that these NEW FEE's are out of their control.
Any Franchisee with half of a mind of their own WANTS out of this never ending Snap DRAIN taking us all down the sh*&^%^.
Corporate is full of the Shallow Asshats. They half-ass fix a problem that creates 10 new issues. its a proven pattern.
IF Corp is still using the same DBA's and IT support ... All these new ENHANCEMENTS and PROGRAMS are going to be the source of the FRANCHISEE's new Nightmare's for 2017... just watch.
The only reason they even worked on the CC updater issue is because they want to shut people on this Forum up and don't want a Franchise Assoc formed. Thats why noone has heard a peep from DALE. Seems Corp offered him a deal to shut up or he is taking a dirt nap with Vince Foster.

I've been talking with my members and they're all excited about a paperless environment and an annual fee, though they are a bit concerned about not having toilet paper.
What I'm leading to is that NOTHING that corporate is doing does a damn thing to improve the member experience. Mysnapfitness.com is just about worthless. There are plenty of free apps out there which they could use that are leaps and bounds beyond what this website is capable of. You know what would be a technology leap? Having an app which benefits members and we can feel proud to talk about, not embarrased. Maybe after every fitness center around the world and corner gym have one then they'll roll one out.
Does it seem like corporate doesn't have a clue about the fitness industry, technology's role in fitness and is only concerned with raising fees on things for which no one has any interest? Also, where's the new fit score and basic workout plan. Was there a person at Snap who actually understood the fitness industry and they left? Also, why is it that everyone who takes the lead role in personal training leaves after about 6 months? Is it because they have a desire to help people and improve their lives and that's counter to snap's corporate culture? (ie come up with an idea for which we can charge owners up the wazoo vs. come up with an idea which will benefit members)

Bwhaahhaha toilet paper... YES we need an APP! Definitely. Our main competitor has the same outdated website and no app. It would put us ahead of them!

I did a search for a snap fitness app. Found a couple snaps re-branding apps from companies like virtuagym. Curious to hear how those are working if those owners are on this forum. No app from snap hq though.

I think it's pretty telling how incompetent the snap technology group is when their technology update seminar has technical difficulties. (Master crawling (because they're not even walking yet) before you try running).

Also, the only fee I see which makes sense is the .10/card for the auto update of the credit card. All of the other crap they can keep. Do they really think I would give them access to all of my financial data? No thank you. 1. I'd never provide that data to them. They run competing businesses. This would give them the data needed to determine whether it makes sense to compete with me. 2. They can't count how many members I have accurately. Why would I ever trust them do do anything else properly.
NOTE: Other processing companies which auto update charge $0 for that feature, just saying.
