One of the Attorneys at Dady & Gardner said to me quote " if there ever was a Franchise that SHOULD HAVE an Association , It's Snap Fitness" What franchises similar to ours have associations and why would they say that about Snap in particular? What specifics? I would be interested in hearing bullet point items on that statement.

Snap longtimer:
It was a few weeks ago. Regarding Increaded fees above CPI, Undisclosed fees, lost dollars due to No Cc Updater, and Fitware not being an adequate operating software that corp continues to allow lost revenue when they could fix. $2,000 a month is no small amount to lose each month when that may be all you are profiting.

More relevant? Gold's gym. I was told by one of the attorneys that Golds was royally screwing over their franchisees. The franchisor was also taking the company down the crapper. The franchisees formed the FA and turned the whole organization around.
I believe peter came from gold's (I'm not positive) and so that's the type of culture he's accustomed to.
I did a quick search to see if I could find the whole history of why their FA was formed, but couldn't find it. A link to their group can be found at ggfa.info

Peter ran and owned some clubs called America's Fitness Centers. Then sold them.
My fees haven't increased since a year ago March/April so I expect probably next month they may again. I am talking about Cont Fee, Marketing, Web, New Member Fees. Since when have they been over CPI? Last year they increased by less than 1.67% over previous year
In regards to the cc updater..if they are continually working on incorporating it there's nothing we can do about it...I believe. I hope I am wrong. I understand 9 rounds has that working for them I was told by an owner. Great.
Undisclosed fees seriously bothers me. How incompetent can they be to not itemize these charges. Good grief.

Snap Long Timer: Do you know what the CPI adjustment is? Take for instance: Fitware Fee; also pay attention and to how they re-name fees or re-categorized them to make it hard to determine. However for us; the proof is there just in our increased Fitware Fee according to our FDD. But everyone's FDD is different. If your fees are fine; that is surprising but I can re-assure you Over CPI has been found to part of our case after Atty reviewed.
The Decline Recovery Fee, for us is an UNdisclosed Fee attached to Failings of their system.

Decline recovery fee is assessed even when we have already received an update from a customer. Ex, customer calls me on 3/29 because they lost their CC and need to give me a new/alternate card number to use. The payment will decline but there is no use for decline recovery program. Still I get charged.

Is anything still happening with the class action?

It would get if we could file a class action, but our attorney tells us we can't. (per the indentured servitude agreement)

Another route would be to contact the securities and exchange commission (SEC). Franchises fall under their jurisdiction. snap has shown over and over again that they can't get things like billing and numbers straight. Things like franchisees not being paid because corporate mandated software fails to collect it have got to be violations. snap should definitely be audited. I have to believe that their accounting is a total mess. Incompetence may not be a crime, but it should disqualify an organization from being a franchisor.
