Does anyone have the new Snap carpet? I'm trying to find the name, colour or even a picture of it so I can find the manufacturer and not have to pay the Snap inflated price. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you can request that from corp. I have heard of someone doing that before, but who knows now. They want you to stick to their upgrade specs so I would make some calls. Your BPS should be able to steer you in the right direction. If you are able to find out let us know.

Hi Snaplongtimer. I have all the buildout specifications but they refer to the carpet only by "Snap Fitness Carpet" and the manufacturer is "Provided by Snap Fitness". They don't want us to know where to get it so they can double the price and force us to buy it directly from them. Franchisees First! or was that Franchisor First?

I would steer clear of carpeting. When we first opened one of the questions we asked current franchisees was "What you you do differently if you had to do it over again?". It was unanimous that they would go with a rubber floor and steer clear from carpeting. It's a huge headache. One franchisee even stated that after just 2 years he ripped out all the carpeting and went with rubber.

I wouldn't know how much happier I'd be with 100% rubber, but the black carpet (presently) hides stains from snow and dirty water. I don't have to clean up after snow melt on black carpet. Rubber will leave puddles for sure.
My main worry with the new Gray carpet is it's lighter and will show stains and darkened areas easier. The gray rubber would probably hide stains/mud better than the black rubber we currently have.
Stuck..if they told you it's a Snap brand then I don't know what to say. I would press for it arguing you have a limited budget. Just don't agree to the financing option. I believe they are trying to keep their remod team in business is all.

We are all rubber and we have some clubs at 6 years. Rubber is the best. We did not have to do any flooring at modernization

If you have a limited budget, Corporate would be happy to help you sell the club to someone with more cash to spend. Isn't this their typical comeback when anyone complains? The private equity group needs to make their ROI and then some.

We have the standard rubber with carpet around the edges. We've had the rubber for almost 10 years now. I have areas in the free weight area that are starting to show some wear. In those 10 years we've replaced the carpeting portion 3 times and not the rubber. I'm contemplating replacing the carpeting again, at least in certain areas. I don't know how many times I've had members spill protein shakes, pre-workout drinks and other things on the floor. With rubber floors it's easy to clean up. It becomes a lot more difficult with carpeting.
I'd consider changing to carpet a huge mistake. It may look nice for a few months, but I'm sure that'll change quickly.
Side story: A day after we changed the carpet one of the members flooded the bathroom and it came all the way out into the carpeted area. Of course it couldn't have happened a week prior.

I use carpet tiles under my cardio equipment. It has been awesome. Good warranty and able to replace tiles versus the carpet as whole. Easy to install and it looks good with butting up to the rubber floor which is under all my circuits and free weights.

I was told that we have to source the carpet on our own.
