The software is absolutely horrible. Our goal is to use as little of it as possible. You have to come up with workarounds for problems you encounter. Making corporate and their wannabe developers aware of the problem does very little. You'll get things like "It's only an issue with your club", "No other clubs are seeing that glitch, it must be something you're doing" or "We'll submit a ticket". Also, don't let them know about your workarounds. They seem determined to have you use their software the way they want and will work to remove your workaround, or break it so it no longer works.
Additionally, a support group that's only available 8 to 12 hours a day Monday thru Friday is unacceptable. Don't get me started on what we pay for and what we receive. We're paying for yellow diamonds and getting cubic zirconia. I can believe they break even on the software, but that's because they only have one customer and for that one customer the cost is astronomical. They need to hand it off to a company like Mind-Body that does nothing but this for a living and then use their size to lower the cost for franchisees.
On another subject I don't believe they ever take into consideration lowering costs for franchisees, just take a look at what they've done with MyZone. You can get a better deal negotiating this on your own with just one club. Pray they don't start looking at other MLM companies again and trying to push that onto franchisees. "Hey everyone start selling Isagenix in your club!!"

Thanks Chery! I am so infuriated right now I look like I stood out in the blazing sun staring at it for 12 hours. You are exactly right every time I have stated an issue on the support system or by email. I get a response, but then can't fix the problem and tell me, exact words "no other club is having this issue, it has to be something on your end!" It's absolutely mind blowing these people are able to communicate with true business owners!!!!! I am sincerely telling you I have been in business roles for years and never have I seen so much failed support in my life. I can tell you I would be fired and my customer would drop me like a hot potato!!!!! And I have multi-million dollar accounts on the line. But it sounds like we are going to be forced to do it their way or take the highway and if we choose the highway well then we get sued. I guess my recent unfortunate circumstances with having some time off of my 60hr + career allowed me to dig in to all this. Really digging in to why we are increasing in memberships/members and declining significantly in revenue. I would have never discovered all these hidden fees and issues. Please let me know how we could possible connect sometime I would love to hear about how to "work around" issues to gain my sanity back and ride out this pathetic Franchise. I don't feel the industry or providing healthy opportunities for people is pathetic, just Snap Fitness' business model! They will never be able to hide the plain truth that their business model is in the bottom 10% of all business models. PT, JV, and the rest of them will never be well respected from their customers (franchisees). Could you imagine reading a business book written by PT or JV or any of them? It would be a book on the Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon's "do not read list"! I'm sorry I could say so much more but it looks like most have you have covered a lot of this bullshit.. I appreciate you all allowing me to vent!

There seems to be MORE than enough information for a number of clubs to get together and file suit against these leeches at corporate. When will enough be enough so people start jumping on board? Are you all going to let them take all of us down before we band together and actually do something about it? I've seen the complaints from so many for a long time now, yet no one seems to want to spend some actual GOOD money to fix this problem. Don't think it can't be done -- with the information just in these posts there is volumes of information to bring to a court's attention, not to mention the AG of each state this predatory franchise operates in. My $500 or $1000 is currently set aside and waiting to join in with others because that amount will come back in droves.

Since everyone is supposed to be going to the snap convention I'd suggest having an off site meeting and inviting a top franchisee lawyer to see if they'll attend and explain what it entails and what the FA would be able to achieve and what it wouldn't.

The problem is that if Snap Corp found out, then wait for it...your franchise rights will be in jeopardy! To be serious, I think a franchise association would be great but Snap has a lot deeper pockets then all of the disgruntled Zees put together. The profitable clubs won't rock the boat so it's just a bunch of us that are trying to survive, ponying up money we don't have because we just had to buy a desk for 3 grand and a bunch of MyZones that you can't do sh*t with!

Two things about this FA thing. It's hard to say who I am but a few of you smart people will be able to figure it out. And I am in! All I want is my investment back and out of contract due to breach. here's what I have recently documented:
In my contract with corporate it says I have the right to refuse anyone, they are saying I have to accept fit passes from old members (past 13months) however I have a couple that have had 3 fit passes and have defaulted in past. First or second months have declined. I am refusing to let them sign up until they pay old bills and a standard enrollment fee with our club.
I received a remodernization quote from a friend and sent them mine. The numbers do not match up on any line item INCLUDING MYZONE! Doesn't make sense including different size dimensions because there is no break down of price per unit by size.
There is still a fee on the bill for Myzone and a memo was sent out that there was no upfront cost to add it and then in June it will be $150.00 a month and $125.00 monthly for upfront belt cost defferment.
There is no way to keep track of the expenses or cost breakdown due to Snap Corporate being very inconsistent on what they are mandating and threatening penalty fees for non compliance. It is absolutely illegal to charge penalty fees when there is no process in place that has legally been signed by both parties to ammend the initial contract. I have nothing in my contract that states any of these new policies nor penalties for not complying. I really feel legally that can't charge us a financial penalty to not comply. Whether or not the franchise rights are at risk to be revoked is not a question I'm confident in answering.

I don't think our rights would be in jeopardy. We are franchisees (customers of corporate), not concentration camp prisoners. I think part of the reason there hasn't been an uprising yet is cause corporate is great at these intimidation tactics, which have no legal foundation whatsoever. Furthermore, I am an owner of a very profitable club and I am completely content rocking the boat. Finally, don't assume corporate has deeper pockets than anyone. The company has been struggling for over half a decade now, and I think corp. is probably in much worse financial shape than most people realize.
