Not sure what it's called, but is anyone doing classes where there are multiple 'stations' are members do a 30 seconds all out, 60 seconds rest, for a 45 minute period? We are considering adding that at a cost and wondering about it's value. There is a franchise called 'Fire' that does this and they are getting $140/mo for unlimited classes so would seem like a nice add-on to an existing gym (at an additional cost to the members, of course).

Are you saying that you're contemplating buying a class structure from this group? I wouldn't. We offer Tabata and HIIT classes which have their own structure, can be varied (with stations) and cost nothing.

No, we are contemplating taking additional space so we can offer HIIT and other such classes. What I've seen out there is these 'bootcamp' style classes that bill $140/mo (I used this newer F.I.R.E. franchise as an example). They are typically 30 minute classes from what I've seen. I was thinking of offering 2 types: 1 would be for non-Snap members at around $99/mo and the other would be a Snap add-on for $55/mo. We'd have 2 morning classes and 2 evening classes, and then offer Yoga as well as that is another thing doing well in some locales.
These sort of higher priced gyms seem to be killing it right now but not sure how long a typical member stays on. Any suggestions would be quite welcome.

Gotcha. Yes, we'll be rolling something like this out over the next few months. We're working out the details about some additional space. One thing to keep in mind is that people that sign up for these go often, so make sure you have the room. These people also tend to quit as soon as they're not using it or take a break, Clubs near us charge $120 to $160/month per person with only single memberships, but typically have a small number of members. Also keep in mind the cost of instructors. We're paying almost $3K/month now for instructors and with the additional space and classes this will most likely go to about $5K/month.
Also, be prepared with plan B if you see one of these low cost clubs enter your area offering classes for $15 or $20/month. More of them seem to be popping up. I haven't visited one yet, so I can't offer any info on exactly how their structured or whether or not there are wait lists for classes. I have to believe there are. I just thought: I wonder what fire codes say the max capacity is for some of these exercise rooms?
