Too bad. I don't wish that on anyone. Wish him luck.

There's no reflection in the snap numbers so these look to be accounted for already. My hope for them is that they decided to go private and shed all the financial burdens placed upon them by snap's corporate hq.

I’m familiar with those clubs. They were killing it a few years back. I bet PF moved in.

I believe snap lost count of their open clubs and aren't in a hurry to update those online numbers.

I’m familiar with those clubs. They were killing it a few years back. I bet PF moved in. While that is possible, I want to point out that the problem isn't because of Planet Fitness. The problem, I believe, is that the Snap brand is so weak with no identity, and most franchisees are in poor financial shape due in large part to a corporate office that could care less whether franchisees thrive or fail, as long they can suck every last dime from our bank accounts along the way. Not to mention our CEO is waaaayy in over his head and should have stepped aside years ago. A sound business should be able to sustain competition without having to shut down. I've never seen a good steakhouse go under just cause a McDonalds opens across the street. The fact that many Snap clubs can't stand up to competition (including one I owned) I think just reveals a bigger, systemic problem with the brand rather than any club individually. What sucks is that the franchisees get the short end of the stick.
