What social media platforms have you all tried and which ones were the most successful? What type of posts/tweets etc got the best results. Did you do it on your own or did you hire another company?
Thanks in advance!

I tried everything with Marketing.
Only one thing WORKED and worked well.
5 step program here:
1. Get a great outside pic of your club 2. post PAID ad on FB (under "promote" button) with the pic as your image 3. In ad, state text "SNAP" to XXX XXX XXXX (your number). for a free month 4. Watch your phone start blowing up. Book appointments. 5. Make sure you save the #s under your prospect name so you dont get confused 6. When they come in, explain its a month free. Totally free. No risk! But get their billing info. if they dont cancel after the 30 days, they get billed as a regular member.
We pulled over $1000 in our first month of this ad. We have failed at sooo many other marketing strategies, but this worked!

Actually, if you're giving away a month for free you collected $0 in the first month. If you're not collecting a program fee and first month's dues then you just gave away about $2500 for the first month. You're also losing on any sort of upsell to a PT membership if you're simply rolling them over. Additionally, our experience is that automatically rolling over a membership and billing people causes people to create scenes at the desk. Of course they'll tell you that they never read the fine print.
However, if that works for you that's great, run with it. No 30 day trial program should be forced on anyone. This is a perfect example of why it should be an opt-in program.

We just took over a failing club and have had some good results but we are trying to get our PT up and running. Do you have different memberships and if so, what do they include? Sorry for all the questions, but every bit of knowledge helps Russ

We're not the best ones to advise of increasing PT, but the PT membership I spoke of is the transformation package. We include several things with this membership, one of which is 5 sessions with a personal trainer.
Our plan is to offer group personal training and having a membership which includes an unlimited number of those classes, but we're not there yet.

Cheryl, I understand your concerns, but we have had people come in for trials and sign for prepaid when they see our deals.
But.... To address.
1. For PT- I didnt have a trainer for the past few months, my last PT landed himself in jail so we just got a new guy hired last week. PT has never been a strong point her 2. For Enrollment- they get charged the enrollment fee if they dont cancel by end of trial. So we are at no loss otehr than 1st monh dues, and often these people wouldnt have signed up if it wasnt for the free month 3. Scenes at desk- I have not had any desk scenes, have had some via phone in past 4 years. But for FB, I tell them 3 or 4 times when they sign up, look them in the eye and sy youre gonna come bck yelling at me, just mking sure you know. So fr sogood. Sorry my keyboards broken sorry for errors
