So, the email we received said that the new shape-up kits will include an iPad, which will be supported by Snap's (sh) IT group.
Sorry, I don't care what it might do we're trying to detach ourselves as much as possible from this group of incompetent bozos. We want as little interaction with them as possible.
Additionally, you have to have it shipped to your house. Why? It's more likely someone will be at the club to sign for it. I'm guessing what you'll be signing is something which not only indicates you've received your package, but that you agree to higher costs, or something of that nature.
No thanks.

Wow.. could it be Snap is realizing how much FITWARE has Stole from our Bottom lines?....or that DOUBLING their Clubs FEES without Notice when rolling out this Poor Performing Product was not the Smartest idea. Maybe they now know just how UGLY Their Baby is... and we are all going to jump ship if we dont start seeing some evidence of our money doing SOMETHING FOR US not just replacing LOST Royalties from the dwindling # of Clubs closing their doors. MAYBE the numbers of Clubs paying for Atty's to hold Snap Corp responsible to Fair Trade Commission Standards and ACT's instead of bleeding their owners dry has opened their eyes...... NAH -Cheryl's right; before you sign ANYTHING new for Corporate ; make sure there is no Statement that you are Releasing Snap of Any Claims or agreeing to new terms.

The monthly cost to have paperless agreements: $30; $360 per year. Year after frustrating year. Can I just keep my paper agreements and scan them as usual? It's not like we are so busy with new members to sign up that this will be a necessary time saver.
I don't need another tablet/Ipad and I don't want to pay another $30 fee. You may soon see another closed location.

I think GG is referring to the new charges associated with the new credit card terminal. This looks to be one component to it. Almost every fitness club around (LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, Retro Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Crunch) does this like the rental car companies. Each section you need to initial pops up on the credit card terminal. You initial and at the end they email you a copy of what you've initialed and signed. It's unclear what sort of benefit the iPad would provide. If we can keep our costs down by simply scanning the documents then that's fine. I have no doubt Snap's IT group will make paperless a more complex, time consuming process
We're trying to cut costs wherever possible. I don't think corporate understands this.Over the last few years our franchise fees have tripled, along with our frustration levels. This just seems to be an incompetent bunch, who don't seem to understand the obstacles their franchisees are trying to overcome. Instead they're placing more and more obstacles in front of their franchisees. The only benefit they bring is that members can use any Snap, and because of corporate's actions, that number of clubs is going down year after year. (Maybe more clubs in India, but that doesn't really help)
