Does anybody have any thoughts on how to go about selling a club? The Snap Corp. resale is designed to benefit Snap Fitness. These businesses have evolved, and have left me behind after 9 years, and I FEEL HELPLESS TO CATCH UP AT MY AGE. I am in bad health, and need to retire, but I don't want to give away my investment. I pretty much bet the farm years ago when the program made sense, now I have 2 struggling clubs.

You could list them on craigslist (that's what corp does). You could hire a real estate agent (costs money). Keep in mind that Snap will charge you a transfer fee, which I believe is $15K.

Sundance- where are you located? I am looking for a resale club. I love helping clubs come up from the ashes. Maybe there is a way I can help.
Also, in the past when I have heard of zees selling, they usually send a mass email to other local Snap owners in their state, to see if they are interested first as its easier for an existing to purchase and the transfer fee is more like $1500 for that

Pretty much all Snap does to "market" your club is list them on Craigslist, and send out mass emails to all your current and past members. Seems like something any owner could do themselves without forking over $500 for a "listing fee."

Craigslist seems like the most shady way to go about selling. You know what powers that site right? ... corp can do better!

We are looking to divest our clubs as well. Not willing to pay Snap the money they want for services I can do myself (and seem totally worthless). We had spoken to a few business brokers, but they all are looking for businesses that are very high value (our clubs do well enough, but not high enough in value). Trying to find our direction as well...soon at a point that we may just end up closing doors if we aren't able to find a way to sell.....

Man I really feel for anybody trying to sell a snap franchise. It can't be easy at all! After all buyers are going to want to see the financials. Oh, and don't forget about the $29,000 transfer fee direct deposited at Pete's Lakehouse
