And it appears the Joke is on me. Being a Snap Fitness is of ZERO benefit to me. I would guess that over 90 percent of my members have no idea that Snap is even a national franchise. ALL of my marketing is done locally..and the ONE time per year that I do have a member's eyes cross a national campaign it usually sounds like this. "Hey..... did you pay a bunch of money to sponsor a show about the KISS arena football team?" or "Are you affiliated with Snap-on tools?? Cause they have a Nascar that uses a logo that looks a lot like yours." THANK YOU 130 dollar per club marketing fee!!! You have successfully confused Mechanics and 70's Glam Rock fans across America.
I NEVER hear from corporate, In fact I can count 5 different FAM/BPM's I have had in the last 3 years.. and I actually spoken to TWO of them..unless you count speaking to their voice mails only to never have them returned. I do get contacted by Minnesota though.. about 3 times a week...from SNAP vendors Signs/Security/new equipment. During these contacts it usually involves some veiled threat that NOT purchasing their products, plus whatever NEW monthly service fee, puts my franchise rights in danger!!! I am sick of it!
So sorry if I come off like a complainer...but Negative information, or manipulative information is all I seem to get from our Mother ship. I love my Gyms...my members love my Gyms. I am IN my market and adapt to the unique changes it needs. If things need repair, I repair them, If members are asking for a new piece of equipment, I purchase it. I can 100 percent assure you that if I were independent my gyms would be doing no worse than they are right now. So why is it I became a franchisee again??
