So I see the majority of threads on here are bashing Snap. That's fine and dandy but I stopped asking Snap for help long ago and do my own thing. What are some of the outside marketing strategies, in club promotions, or different classes everyone uses that are successful.
I would love to share ideas with fellow successful Snap owners.

Jeffrey,
What I'd suggest is to go through the old posts and read through the first couple of posts on each thread. You'll find several which talk about the things people have found which work well for them. You can respond to those different posts to bring them back to the top and reopen discussion about those topics. Franchisees have discussed classes, (live and virtual), kiosks, staffing, services offered, owner involvement, retention (in the form of auto updating of credit card info), MyZone, etc.

Just boosting a post in a specified area I have gotten a better response than any other form of marketing I have done. Also, at a fraction of the cost. I used it when a once successful club near me closed and my little club hung in there.

I have used Facebook and every time I had a post boosted I got charged a lot for it. I have a small gym so when i get a facebook bill for $300+ it make it hard to justify continuing. I can't afford Digital Stack which seems like a good service to use so I think there must be other things I can do to get the message out.

I don't know enough about how we are charged, but it seems to me my last boost amounted to about 2.5 cents per view. The post engagements eat it up, but I keep my budget low and try to strategically place my message in certain areas depending what the message is. I always think about light shock value in a post to awaken readers urging a response. Otherwise, it's just another post to read.

Interested in hearing any and all alternative ideas for transmitting tv audio to members within the club other than the typical FM transmitters we were initially set up with. Post a link. I'd like to see what you are using.

That's interesting. Thank you. Have any problems with unsolicited email? Reading the reviews that's a possibility.

We also use Tunity.com. Works pretty good with most TV stations.

We tell members to use Tunity. They haven't complained about unsolicited emails.

I'm interested in hearing what successes anyone has had with sales of the Fit Kit. I've sold a couple only because I made it cheap enough for them to afford versus buying a regular membership. Otherwise, they would have walked. I've tried posting flyers in club to buy as a Christmas gift and now for New Years to buy for a friend. I've boosted posts on facebook as well. Nothing. No interest, no questions, no purchase, a few likes, but that's only because they like the image.
I won't be buying the mz3 fit kits until I can prove to myself that people want the mz1 cheaper kit.
People probably aren't interested in buying fitness gifts like these because...honestly...it's a box of torture. There's no immediate satisfaction for the recipient..like getting your nails done or eating that big mac or sausage egga muff. This is probably the toughest business to sell in. First people need to pay money then they need to come in and work/sweat before seeing any results.

As I am no longer a Snap Fitness franchisee, I find myself looking for a gym. I can get it done for $10-20/ month, work/sweat versus paying $35+ per month. I don't need or want a Myzone belt. I don't want a fitness coach or trainer. I'm probably like the majority of people. Good luck with your New Year promo.
