I don't understand why these Ipad and electronic agreements were rolled out and how they expect us to use them. Yes we can still use FW but it still requires a signature either on the IPAD or electronic signature. On the ipad, we can only set up month to month, reciprocal membership using CC and only CC to pay the initial fee. THEN, you can set it as the 1st of the month for the next billing date. But the electronic agreement that is sent to the member, and the one they sign on the ipad, indicates their next billing date is the anniversary date. So members don't want to sign these when they do a PREPAY! Because it says they will be billed in a month. I really don't want a member to have an electronic copy of an agreement that is inaccurate.
But corporate wants to charge us for this ipad and e-agreement technology starting in March. How can they charge us for something that really doesn't work?
And there is basically NO communication about these flaws and limitations.

snap hq doesn't care if it works or not or whether you use it. That's become clear with everything they've rolled out (eg engager this, engager that, etc). No one is asking for it, no one is using it and those who have tried to make some sort of use of it have given up. The only reason for any of these things is to give them an excuse to jack up your fees.
The only thing we've been asking for, which will actually help with the business, is the credit card updater, and that's simply pushed aside. This franchisor has just one interest and that's how do they raise fees on franchisees.
We've found ways to increase our business. Some are free and some cost us some money (either up front, monthly or both). However, we're able to see a return on our investment. So far 95% of what snap has provided has been low quality crap, for which they charge a premium. The software they provide is complete crap. We wouldn't even use it if it were free.
We have members logging into their mysnapfitness.com accounts and someone else's name appears on their page. How bad do you have to be at your job to fuck things up that badly?

Once again hq rolls out another item too early and doesn't do everything we need it to do. Pete must have gotten a deal on some ipads and thought they should use them. I bet nobody questions his decisions, but only behind his back.
They will come out with the cc updater when they figure out how to interface it with the fitnightmare. Either that or they don't make enough money on having it.
I am not happy with this ipad. I only use it in one place and still use paper there. It's just another process I need to bypass somehow.

I renewed a family of 5 with no emails, but my club email listed. I whipped through the ipad process scribbling a signature for all. These are long time members don't ya know. I immediately received 22 emails in my inbox for signature confirmation and activating their account. Good grief..

All members on my family membership have the agreement of the primary NOT the signatures of the non-primary members that should have signed.

Hey guys, you all may want to check with corporate about the esignatures they are now requiring from all new, renewing or changing memberships. Even if you don't plan on registering the iPad. I called support to ask some questions this morning and found out that if a member does not sign an agreement electronically, according to our lovely support team, their access will be cut off. I guess that's why we were forced to put our membership agreements on Fitware or be "hard-locked out of the system" in January.
I've put in multiple tickets to support and am getting no response. Does anyone know how to add prepaid memberships to the tablet (as of right now it only has month to month pricing)or where we can see a copy of each accounts signed e-agreement? Also, if you are using the iPad only and no more paper agreements, is there a way to email or print it for a member wanting a copy of the agreement he just signed?
You all may know all of this already. I'm just a club manager and do not receive the same emails/info as the owners.

I have had many that have not signed and actually they think it's spam coming through since it is new to them. They were never cancelled.
The tablet is extremely limited. Support will tell you to enter by hand in fitware what seems like 90% of the time. Since it's hard to enter information with my back to a customer, I still need my paper contracts until I get a new desk or the tablet does everything it should.
Your electronic copy of the agreement is located on the general tab on the far right of the contract you just created. If you don't use a tablet, I don't think they are there. Once open you can download it and send it or print it.

We haven't had any members lose access YET either, but support told me they will be giving us two to three weeks from now to get e-agreements on file before they start shutting access off to the access cards of members who haven't signed. I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a royal pain in the ass, but it probably will.
Thanks for the other info!

Rather than use agreements, put together a new member info sheet. When someone comes in to join, have them fill this out with all the info you need. Then enter it into the computer. This way you can also have more than one new membership signing up although you still can only enter one at a time in Fitware. Advantage is you have all the member info on paper still and it doesn't require two page, two part agreements.

Yeah that's a great idea! Funny, my employee suggested that to me a while ago and I totally forgot to make them up. lol Thanks for the reminder!
Shutting off key cards will be a pain. They better send out email reminders for shutoff. They keep shutting off my members, I'll shut my doors.

So corporate inundates members with emails. Members mark as spam All new emails from Snap automatically go to spam Member deletes all spam without reading Snap emails agreement for signing to member Email goes to spam and is deleted Snap cuts off access to the club
Member gets pissed. They join other members from around the country who are pissed. We tell them it's not us it's corporate. They go out to classaction.com and join their lawsuit to file a multi-million $$ class action lawsuit against the snap mafia. (Oh, how would they know to contact them? We believe it's our due diligence to inform members of their options, so we let them know)
We may not be able to file a class action against the snap mafia, but our members can. In this case the damage to the members is caused directly by the actions of the snap mafia and not the individual club.

That's old news. They work, they don't work, they don't care. They charge you a higher monthly fee now and that's all that matters. Where's the credit card auto updater. Tomorrow's the first of the month again. Sure would be nice to have that retention tool.

I'm gonna try to factory reset mine somehow and sell it. At least the cash will help cover my technology fee. In fact I'm looking through my club for other things to sell as well. My draft for June 1st doesn't even cover my rent. Getting worried-- and that's putting it mildly.
